One to curl up in porcelain clawfoot tub, doting upon poetry; I was preoccupied with becoming a published writer, so studied within the university’s Professional Writing & Publishing program. I received my Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in creative writing. Upon years of drafting, polishing, and querying manuscripts, I withered in countless rejections. Promising requests ultimately passed, concluding my ‘voice’ was ‘poetic, but too distant’ which hurt. So, I went to cathartically, visually, venting without words—which woke this collection out of private distress.
With manually placed, digitally layered component photography; contours of component photography positioned with intention upon photographs and portraits—my view perfumes, wordlessly.
Of yet petrified roots in the Midwest; Madison, WI. My heart might be in Paris.
